Winter Wedding in Baltimore

When I met Alex and David for their engagement photos I knew, KNEW that they would be so lovely to photograph for their wedding. They are so lovingly swept up with each other, that taking photos was almost as simple as letting them be, and just being a fly on the wall, with a camera. Fast forward to their wedding in late January at St. Alphonsus church in Baltimore, which is a stunning Catholic church, and with a reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. It didn’t matter that it was freezing with some rain. The venue and church service were stress free. If you have never been to the BMI, do yourself a favor and go explore. Not only was it great for inside photos, but their guests really enjoyed the exhibits during cocktail hour. I loved the green bridesmaid dresses, and green and gold decor. Such a perfect combination in winter. It brings a feeling of warmth and elegance. Two attributes you feel upon meeting Alex. I am so happy to have been able to share in Alex and David’s wedding. I am so impressed with the dancing! Not only did they have rehearsed dance moves for the first dance, and both parent dances, but the entire bridal party had stellar introduction moves as well. I can imagine rehearsing was just full of a lot of fun, and it really was a joy to watch! Lastly, I have to mention the bubble tea! I had never heard of it before, but I know that it has a special place in their hearts while dating, and I just love that they had bubble tea delivered for their guests! It was one for the books for sure! Congratulations to you both! I wish you love and happiness in your journey together!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Michelle through the Humane Society of Calvert County. Her love for animals just shows how large her heart is. If there was any dog, pig, or probably just about any other animal that fits in your living room, that needed a place to stay, her home and heart have always been open. Jon is right there with her, giving love to those who need it. I can only imagine how much these two wonderful people love each other, how much they are willing to do for one another through their lifetime. When you love selflessly as these two do, your heart is always full. There were so many friends and family that came out to support Jon and Michelle’s start of their married journey. They braved the cold, (though thankfully did not have to brave the blizzard), and came out to celebrate! Seeing so much love just makes me very happy, and I am so thankful that these two found each other, and get to share this thing called life together. Congratulations Jon and Michelle! I wish you the best!

    Laura and Brian’s December Wedding

    When I found out I was going to photograph Laura and Brian’s wedding at the Peabody this December, I think I actually jumped for joy. Not only is the Peabody a breathtaking venue, but Laura and Brian are this amazing mixture of fun, warm, and elegant,  with a touch of silliness. When I saw Laura’s dress, I’m pretty sure my mouth dropped. It is an amazingly beautiful champagne Vera Wang dress. And on Laura everything pretty much screamed royalty to me. From the way she held herself to the way the dress moved while dancing, everything about her and their wedding was absolutely stunning. They tied the knot at the beautiful  Episcopal church in Baltimore officiated by their dear friend. We then walked in 65 degree weather to the Peabody, taking a few candids along the way. I especially liked the library of old touches, complete with library return cards for their place holders, and filing drawers holding their flowers. I am sure this day is everything that Laura and Brian hoped it would be. And I am so happy to share their photos with them. Laura and Brian, I wish you an amazing 2016, and a beautiful life together! Thank you so much for letting me share your day with you!

      Lex and Heather’s Winter Wedding

      I love how intimate Lex and Heather’s wedding at Level in Downtown Annapolis was. You could tell how everyone in that room was so very important to them. There was just so much love filling the air. Not only the love these two have for one another, but how very loved they are by all their friends and family. Heather was gorgeous in a stunning dress. She kept things elegant and simple. I loved the touches of Christmas throughout the venue as well.  My favorite touch was their cake topper that included their beloved Theodore! Nothing like having our fur babies share in the celebration! Heather and Lex are definitely my type of people and I wish them much love and happiness in their new life together!

        Kristin and Chris Tie the Knot!

        I feel like I have been waiting for this waiting all year!! I met Kristin at the golf course about two years ago. She is so  awesome to hang out with, loads of fun, level headed, good at everything. 🙂 I knew her wedding with Chris was going to be amazing! I was envisioning 20 degree weather and maybe some snow. But you can imagine how wonderful it was to end up getting weather close to 60 degrees! . Chris and Kristin had the best day ever. Not only was the weather beautiful, but they had over 200 of their family and friends to celebrate with them at the Annapolis Marriott. Kristin stunned in her gown and I loved how all the groomsmen and Chris looked so classic in their tuxedos. Some how they were able to pair elegance with crazy party and pull it off. One look at these two whether when they were seeing each other for the first time, saying their vows, or taking a turn on the dance floor, you can tell how unbelievably in love they are with one another! Kristin and Chris, I am so so happy for you, and cannot wait to see all the wonderful things life has in store for you!
