All things romantic at a Silver Swan Wedding

From Erica’s soft pink suede shoes to her ethereal flower crown, every detail at Erica and James waterfront wedding was soft, beautiful, and romantic. Sometimes I get so excited when I see a bride’s vision come to life, and really just blend so beautifully. It’s not easy to plan a wedding. There are so many choices, so many beautiful ways to create your dream look. This girl has exquisite taste, and beautiful friends, and such a wonderfully solid, and loving support system. I know she and James have everyone behind them, and that they are stronger for not just the love they share together, but the love that their family and friends share with them. Yes it was freezing outside, yes her feet were numb from photos because she is awesome and such a trooper. But inside there the venue was filled with warmth, laughter, and well a decent amount of flowing beverages. All things to warm you up on a cold day.

Winter Wedding in Baltimore

When I met Alex and David for their engagement photos I knew, KNEW that they would be so lovely to photograph for their wedding. They are so lovingly swept up with each other, that taking photos was almost as simple as letting them be, and just being a fly on the wall, with a camera. Fast forward to their wedding in late January at St. Alphonsus church in Baltimore, which is a stunning Catholic church, and with a reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. It didn’t matter that it was freezing with some rain. The venue and church service were stress free. If you have never been to the BMI, do yourself a favor and go explore. Not only was it great for inside photos, but their guests really enjoyed the exhibits during cocktail hour. I loved the green bridesmaid dresses, and green and gold decor. Such a perfect combination in winter. It brings a feeling of warmth and elegance. Two attributes you feel upon meeting Alex. I am so happy to have been able to share in Alex and David’s wedding. I am so impressed with the dancing! Not only did they have rehearsed dance moves for the first dance, and both parent dances, but the entire bridal party had stellar introduction moves as well. I can imagine rehearsing was just full of a lot of fun, and it really was a joy to watch! Lastly, I have to mention the bubble tea! I had never heard of it before, but I know that it has a special place in their hearts while dating, and I just love that they had bubble tea delivered for their guests! It was one for the books for sure! Congratulations to you both! I wish you love and happiness in your journey together!

Winter Wedding at Mill Dye House

I have wanted to photograph a wedding at the Mill Dye House in Baltimore for forever. It is the most stunning place for a winter wedding. And the fact that the wedding I photographed was Lisa and Jay’s wedding made my night all the sweeter! These two are naturals for the camera, are not shy in being the center of attention, and are really just fun beautiful (inside and out people). I can’t get over the twinkle lights, the fab dancing, and fantastic party, how Lisa knocked it out of the park in her dress, and oh the most adorable cozy robes for her bridesmaids. Congratulations to both of you! I loved being there, and I wish you love and happiness in your life together!!

A Surprise Sun for Lindsay and Jack’s Silver Swan Wedding

Lindsay and I toiled over the forecast a bit before her and Jack’s wedding this last weekend in October. Torrential downpours, howling winds, and bitter cold temperatures seemed to loom in the foreground. Yet, the day of their wedding, there was no rain, and while freezing, yes, so very cold, their whole bridal party were troopers and managed to transport themselves mentally to warmer climates and their happy place while we took a few photographs outside. I love the fall colors we were able to capture at Silver Swan. Surrounded by water on both sides, their are few places on the Chesapeake that are as stunning. I am so glad that Jack pursued this girl, for like, ever. Funny how, he just knew from the beginning that she was the one for him. Funny too, that it took Lindsay a little longer to get there, but it all worked out in the end. Thank you both for allowing me to capture your day, for rolling with the wind and the veil casualty we had, the turning blue, and thank you Jack for not jumping into save said veil. We like you better without Pneumonia. Much love and happiness to you both!! PS Sorry, not sorry there are so many of your niece and nephew in this post. <3

Brittany and Braden’s Golf Course Wedding

This girl makes you smile. She lights up a room, is sweet, funny, laid back, and knows who she is. I love that so much about Brittany. Getting to see her and Braden together on their wedding was a real blessing. I love that the guys and girls got matching jogging jackets, that the girls wore Toms (oh so comfy), and that their wedding is exactly how they wanted it to be. <3 We had such a fun time touring around the golf course in a cart. (Brings back good memories of being a cart girl. 😉 ) And just playing around in Renditions’ beautiful setting. It was so wonderful to see all the important people in their life come and celebrate with them, and one friend even married them. Congratulations to you both! I am so happy for you!!
